1 Spring 2017 Wine Club Wines
2012 Sauvignon Blanc - $16.00
This is a light to medium bodied wine with citrus, melon, pineapple, pear, and some herbal hints. The finish is slightly sweet with stone fruits and a touch of lemon. This wine was fermented around 49˚ in a stainless steel tank. This wine is very fruit forward and full of flavor.
This wine pairs well with a Thai d ish, spicy chicken or is just beautiful sipping on the patio.
pH 3.21, TA .79, Alc. 12.8%
2010 Primitivo - $25.00
This wine is smooth with layered flavors of currant, spices, raspberry, dried plum, light licorice, and boysenberry jam with a strong lingering finish.
This wine was aged in French and American oak barrels for 16 months.
The Primitivo pairs well with pulled pork or a rich meaty pasta dish.
pH- 3.69, TA .62, Alc. 13.9%
2010 Sangiovese – $24.00
This wine comes from a thin-skinned grape that tends to linger a little longer on the vine. This wine is medium bodied with tannins that are smooth and round. The flavors have a hint of strawberry, plum, light spice, and a touch of vanilla licorice. This wine pairs well with pasta, BBQ chicken, and well-aged cheeses. pH 3.66, TA .61, Alc. 13.9%
2 Fall 2017 Wine Club Wines
2013 Pinot Gris - $16.00
Pinot Gris is light bodied and crisp with hints of pear and melon. I plan to serve it with Thanksgiving dinner appetizers.
2011 Tempranillo – $27.00
The Tempranillo grape is the dominant grape varietal in Spain's Rioja wines. This grape tends to do well in chalky type soils. This wine has a medium body with lower acidity with bright fruit characteristics. The wine has flavors of plum, cherries, and touches of minerality. This wine is very friendly and goes well with a number of dishes. A few items to pair it with are tapas, grilled pork, and grilled chicken.
pH 3.71, TA .60, Alc. 13.5%
